|Affiliation||Echigoya trade empire|
|First Appearance||Tenchu Z|
Rokube Echigoya (越後屋 六兵衛 Echigoya Rokube?) was the nephew of Heisuke Echigoya and heir to the Echigoya trade empire. He was planning to meet up with his associate, Izaemon Kimura, but was assassinated in his household before he could reach him.
Rokube was enjoying life as a corrupt merchant, selling blunt swords for gold, drinking and laughing. His night was interrupted, however and two Azuma ninja crept up to his room and killed him, ending his line of cheat trades.
Rokube was a greedy and cheeky merchant, a fiend who sold cheap products for a large sum of money, not caring about who he sells to. He also has a stupid demeanor, shown in the tone of his voice and his laugh and also if you fight in open conflict with him. He seems to show of a poor, helpless and innocent side, but that's only because he's a coward. He also seems to be afraid and paralyzed with fear, as shown if you're fighting him, making him stand out like a sore thumb.
Abilities and AppearanceEdit
Rokube Echigoya had no abilities worthy of note. He has a gun, but takes about 10 seconds to shoot it. He appears to be a 30-40 year old merchant, bald with a large ring of hair around the back of his head that reaches his ears, with a gap in the front. He has a tuft of hair on the top of his head, and has a fat, round head with a wealthy expression on his face. He wears a full cream white kimono with patterns decorating the waist belt and has a locket or a garment in the middle of his torso, a circle with two dog tag shaped strings attached to it. He wears a darker cream white coat over the top, and carries a long pipe all the time. His socks are white, his sandals are cream brown and overall he has a roundish body shape.
Background Information and NotesEdit
- Rokube is one of many characters in the Echigoya family targeted by the Azuma in the Tenchu series.
- He is considered the most pathetic Echigoya in the family, even though he has a pistol. Also, his trading skills are the worst in the Echigoya trade empire too.
- Rokube is somewhat spoiled, a first glance at him would probably tell you everything. He also has striking similarities to Heisuke, though they are uncle and nephew after all.
- Rokube's buisness skills are nothing compared to Heisuke's, but he apparently couldn't accept that, and Rokube would've secretly plotted to dominate the Echigoya trading empire had he not been killed by the Azuma.
