Dokuto (毒刀 Dokutō) consists of a pair of poison-infused kodachi blades that Ayame wields.

Locations[]

Dokuto is an exclusive weapon for Ayame, which can be found in the Buddhist Temple mission in Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven and in the For Whom The Bell Tolls mission in Tenchu: Fatal Shadows. Acquiring it requires proficient platforming skills such as jumping or using the Grappling Hook.

Characteristics[]

Dokuto is a pair of kodachi blades used by Ayame, which are similar in size, length, and weight to her usual kodachi. However, Dokuto possesses a distinct feature in that its blades are laced with poison, inflicting significantly more significant damage upon enemies. When these blades strike an enemy, the poison is simultaneously delivered with the slash, causing both immediate injury and poisoning. It's important to note that Dokuto has a notable side effect. When Ayame unsheathes these blades, she becomes temporarily poisoned for a few seconds, resulting in approximately 22 points of damage to her health. This poison gradually diminishes her health during this period. To fully harness the capabilities of this sword, Ayame should promptly consume a Poison Antidote after equipping the blades, thereby preventing any adverse effects from the poison.

Trivia[]

  • In the Japanese version of the game, these weapons are referred to as "Oboro" (朧), but for unknown reasons, the name was changed to "Dokuto" in the Activision North American releases.
